Sa filmographie est intimement liée au pays de Caux. Autour d’un récit d’apprentissage scindé par une prodigieuse ellipse\, « Un Prince » est sans doute son film le plus narratif et autobiographique\, et constitue une splendide porte d’entrée pour découvrir l’œuvre de ce cinéaste paysan.
